The Lindy Academy is an online training platform operated by Lindy Electronics Ltd to provide free AV and IT training for Lindy customers, partners, and staff worldwide.

The Lindy Academy platform is operated on our behalf by Clavia Ltd, a UK-based digital learning provider acting as our data processor. Clavia manages the hosting, maintenance, and operation of the site under a Data Processing Agreement.

When you register or use the Lindy Academy platform, we collect only the data necessary to create your account and record your learning progress:

  • Job title
  • Company name
  • Company address
  • Country
  • Language preference

No payment information, sensitive data, or tracking data is collected.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for:

  • Creating and managing your Lindy Academy account
  • Delivering training content and tracking progress
  • Issuing completion certificates
  • Maintaining secure access to the platform

Your data is not used for marketing or shared between Lindy group companies.

5. How Your Data Is Stored and Protected

The Lindy Academy is hosted by Clavia Ltd on secure, GDPR-compliant UK servers provided by Krystal Hosting(London).
All data remains in the United Kingdom at all times and is protected by:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure access controls and authentication
  • Encrypted backups retained solely for disaster recovery

No data is transferred or stored outside the UK.

6. Cookies and Analytics

The Lindy Academy uses only essential cookies required for login, navigation, and course progress tracking.
No cookies are used for advertising, analytics, or third-party marketing.

We retain your information while your account remains active.
If you close your account or it remains inactive for more than 24 months, your data will be securely deleted.
